Rent Wheeler Opera House

We are typically available for rental from mid-September through early June, as available. From mid-June to mid-August, we serve as the home for the Aspen Music Festival and School's Opera Theatre program. No rental inquiries for any purpose can be considered during that time.

Additional Information

• Performances are expected to be concluded not later than 11:00pm, unless otherwise arranged at the time of booking with Wheeler management. Because of our very busy calendar, we ask that all rentals consider being completely loaded out not later than midnight after the conclusion of their event(s).
• Overtime rate of 1.5x the listed hourly rates will apply for all personnel working in excess of ten hours during any 24-hour period, or for a call during “graveyard shift” hours (midnight – 8am)
• Other fees may be negotiated for additional services, such as lobby rental, exhibit space rental, or other unique needs, on an as-requested basis
• We reserve the right to limit General Admission events to as few as 400 seats for sale, to seating at the orchestra level only, or to whatever parameters in the sole opinion of the Wheeler are deemed most appropriate.
• Rentals are deemed “Private Event” status if 65% or less of the available seating inventory is not made available for sale through the Wheeler’s box office (Aspen Show Tickets), or if in the sole opinion of the Wheeler is predominently an industry or otherwise closed event.
• We reserve the right to decline any rental inquiry if, in the sole opinion of the Wheeler, the date conflicts with other programming currently scheduled, overcrowds the production schedule, or for any other reason is believed not in the best interests of the Wheeler. Wheeler management strongly discourages promoters of any kind from seeking bookings within a 30-day timeframe from date of inquiry to proposed playdate.
• The Wheeler may be available for rental during the Winter X Games for private or semi-private engagements. No hard-ticket general-public bookings will be entertained for the Thursday through Saturday timeframe.
